Glacios Cryo-TEM
The ThermoFisher Glacios 200 kV Cryo-TEM System is a dedicated 200 kV cryo transmission electron microscope, which features a high-brightness field electron gun (X-FEG), a 12 grid autoloader, a ThermoFisher Falcon 4i direct electron detector (DED) and a CETA-D 16M CMOS camera.
The system can be used for single particle analysis (SPA), cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) and micro-electron diffraction (MicroED). The Glacios can deliver near-atomic resolution with an information limit of up to 2.1 Å. The low-dose software is suited for minimizing the electron dose during cryo-TEM operation in single particle acquisition, tomography and micro-ED experiments.
The Smart EPU Software enables faster and easier setup and processing, benefiting both novel and experienced users. Sample screening is an essential component of successful cryo-EM workflows, allowing verification of sample quality in terms of both biochemistry and vitrification. This instrument will allow the study of cancer-associated issues, viral infections, bacterial resistance to antibiotics, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, drug design and drug delivery.
Automatic Plunge Freezers
